And love.......Redux

This is a re-post from two years ago....totally worthy don't you think?

The New World -
Pocahontas and John Smith
'You flow through me, like a river'

'Shakespeare In Love'
"you will never age for me, nor fade nor die"

Wuthering Heights
'If he loved you with all the power of his soul for a whole lifetime,
he couldn't love you as much as I do in a single day
'

The English Patient
'New Lovers are nervous and tender, but smash everything.
For the heart is an organ if fire'

Having fun...

I've been pining for a certain Camera for quite some time now. Don't get me wrong, I love my "point and shoot" it's my little work horse and I have no plans on getting rid of it but I've been yearning for more creative control.. I recently purchased a Canon EOS rebel and I absolutely love it! With some help from my friend Andrea I was able to experiment (and actually know what I'm doing). Some finer points I have discovered ....flash.......BAD.............natural light.........GOOD.
I did a little photo shoot of things that inspire me. I hope they do the same for you. Tips and pointers are welcome!

Enjoy!

It's never too soon for Spring.....

It's official, I have cabin fever and I got it bad. New York has been hit with so much snow and ice I feel like I live in Antarctica. I'm a firm believer that winter should end immediately after the new year so we can enjoy our idyllic Norman Rockwell Christmas and then move on.  Three day forecast  ....snow..........then snow, sleet, freezing rain (isn't that the same as sleet?)...then snow.  I always promised myself I wouldn't be one of those people that would complain about the weather, for the most part I find it annoying and pointless but I must tell you all..I've been driven to the edge!
OK, enough with the ramblings of a woman gone mad. These photos from Coastal Living magazine motivated me to break out all my vintage linen, re-make the beds, change the curtains and open all the windows. Well,  opening the windows will have to wait, but it's a start in the right direction...it's never too soon for Spring....what are your plans for the warmer weather?
