I would love to see a bunch of lovely lavender go to a lucky winner. (About the lavender..click here). You may enter just by commenting...that's it!
Now that I have your attention with the fragrant giveaway.....
First off, my shop will be closed until mid -September ( not my blog). I discovered that being house manager, taking care of children that are home for the summer and running my business was not fun... and by golly I want it to be fun!! Trying to do all three, I found nothing was getting done. So, right now I'm lining up my priorities and enjoying my children. It's important to re-charge my creative battery and I'm looking forward to unveiling some really cool new items! But while you're waiting visit WhiteFlower Farmhouse where Lori offers some of my items for sale!
Last, I've gained many new followers and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you who have an interest in what I have to say. In turn, I take much pleasure in looking at your blogs too! I would love to comment on many blogs but for whatever reason I can't seem to comment on blogs where the post settings do not open into a new pop up window (blogger only). This is a problem I discovered that is an issue totally on my end. So please don't think I'm being snooty..I'm actually yearning to comment but I just can't.
I will still be around blogging and answering emails so don't think you can get rid of me that easy!
and P.S. I added more incredible blogs to my blog roll so go and check them out!

I am so with you, Darlene. I forgot (conveniently) how busy the summer is with kids at home and the first week school was out my memory kicked back in again. It's good your regrouping and being kind to yourself.
Happy Summer and what matters most in life!

Hi Darlene
I seem to keep forgetting to wait for the 'word thingy' lately. Mostly on blogs that pop the word thingy up after you enter. I have done this so many times lately you would think I would learn! Hope you enjoy slowing down a little and spending time with your kids. Have fun. x Julie
Darlene, enjoy your time away. The blog will wait as you live your life, undocumented for a short while! But documented in your memories...
Count me in for the lavender please. : )
Oh, duh, it was your shop closed, not you being away from blogging Good thing I read the last line!
Do get some rest and have some fun. I try to do too much all the time but I am realizing it is nice to take some things off the plate. I heard a great quote that said "I do better with less to do" and I could not agree more!
What a great giveaway! I would love a bunch of lavender!
I had to close my shop for a bit this summer as well due to some health issues. Back up and running though, and Id love to put that Lavender in my soap!

Darlene...my favorite thing in the whole wide world to do is spray freshly laundered bed linens with lavender spray...ahhhhh....it calms the senses and speaks to the soul...
Would LOVE to have a fresh bundle of it all tied up in the bedroom...
Enjoy your rest...they are only children for a little while--and soon, they are off on their own. There will be plenty of time for creating then!
Beautiful pictures. I live in Arizona where lavender can't survive in this heat. You are so lucky to have it nearby.
Wow lavender!
Your blog is full of gorgeous photo inspirations. Thanks for sharing them!
First of all I adore lavender & you are doing the right thing!! We can't ever get back time lost with our kids!!! As an empty nester.....enjoy every moment with them....it goes so fast!!!
Enjoy the rest of summer & your family Darlene. We will wait.
*love* lavender! have a great summer!
I absolutely love lavender so I'm in. :)
My Mom grew lavender when I was growing up....the aroma of it stills reminds me of her and my childhood!
I love lavender, and so does my husband. Now, my husband is a big burly construction worker, but when it comes to time for his bath, he wants lavender soap, and I have lavender in our pillows on our bed. If there is no lavender soap, he pesters me until I go and buy more. I've tried growing lavender here in Texas, but kill it every time.
